Energy Storage

Whether you are a student, a homeowner or an engineer interested in residential-scale wind energy, the charts, graphs and downloadable data available in this area can increase your understanding of wind energy.   Here's a quick overview of the wind data provided by the Bergey 10 kw class wind turbine:

Realtime Data

This table shows actual data from our 10 kW wind turbine site, updated every few seconds. Includes voltage, current, kilowatts, wind speed and wind direction data.

Raw Data

You can select and view tables of a variety of data from the 10 kW wind turbines for a single date, or to show historical data for a span of days, weeks or months. Includes voltage, current, kilowatts, peak kilowatts, kilowatt-hours, total harmonic distortion for current and voltage, wind speed and wind direction at two heights on each tower, turbine revolutions per minute (RPM) and peak turbine RPM. Also allows you to download historic data as a "comma separated variable" (CSV) file for your own analysis.

Weather Graphs

Features graphs based on a day that you select, showing daily wind speed and turbine RPMs through the prior month; wind speed and direction, and turbine RPMs in 15-minute periods through the selected 24 hours.

Energy Graphs

Features graphs based on a day that you select, that show daily power from the turbinesin kilowatt-hours through the prior month; a comparison of the power generated vs. the daily power usage of a typical home in that area; daily peak and average power generation through the prior month; and peak and average power generation for each 15 minute period through the selected 24 hours.

Weather v. Energy Graphs

Combines energy and wind records based on a day that you select, in a number of graphs that let you visually check how wind conditions and energy production are related. The site features graphs that show daily wind speed and turbine RPMs through the prior month; wind speed and turbine RPMs in 15-minute periods through the selected 24 hours; daily peak and average power generation through the prior month; and peak and average power generation through the selected 24-hours.
