As generations sources become more modular and we move away from the larger central generation facilities, the need to develop, test and deploy micro or decentralized generations sources becomes more important. At the Dolan Technology Center we are equipped to test these new sources of generation up through the megawatt scale.

Capabilities

Our generation test capabilities cover the following:

• Microturbines – small, typically natural gas, turbines which are generally deployed for combined heat and power at the customer’s site.
• Fuel Cells - Generates electricity from continuously-supplied streams of fuel and oxidant, producing electricity via electrochemical reactions.
• Waste Heat Recovery - The benefits of harnessing this energy include generating electricity without burning fuel and producing emissions.
• Renewables – Energy sources that have a natural renewability, such as wind, solar, hydro, biomass, tidal and geothermal.
• Site Survey and Planning Services - We offer site surveying and planning services for communications and DG units.
