Distribution Automation is the ability to apply intelligent automated sensing and control over the distribution system using two way communications in combination with IT systems. Applications would include: Energy Management, Circuit Reconfiguration, Volt/VAr Control and Enabling Distributed Energy Resources including both generation and storage.
